The Kripalu Yoga in Schools Teacher Training equips educators, counselors, and yoga teachers to create meaningful change in the lives of adolescents through mindfulness, movement, and evidence-based self-regulation techniques.
This immersive training will give you the skills and confidence to implement Kripalu’s evidence-based Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum to help adolescents cultivate self-regulation, focus, and emotional well-being. Held on Kripalu’s beautiful campus, this program is led by expert faculty—pioneers of the Yoga in Schools movement with decades of experience in adolescent wellness.
Program Highlights:
- A scientifically validated yoga curriculum endorsed by CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning, 2013 Guide)
- Developmentally appropriate, comprehensive lesson plans with postures, breathing, and relaxation techniques
- Insights into adolescent development through role-playing, lectures, and discussion
- Collaborative learning opportunities to refine classroom and yoga-mat skills
- Practical guidance to implement yoga-based SEL in schools and communities
