School of Yoga
Kripalu has been training yoga teachers for 50 years with an approach rooted in the rich lineage and teachings of our namesake, Swami Kripalu. We know that the most authentic teaching comes from deep personal experience. Our trainings create an immersion that empowers students to explore their unique relationship to yoga. Kripalu graduates are steeped in the history and tradition of yoga, and skilled at offering a contemporary, nondogmatic approach to these ancient practices. When you’re absorbed in yoga, from skill-building and self-development to practicing within a community of peers, you have the opportunity to deeply embody what you are learning. You will discover empowering ways to integrate the fundamentals of the Kripalu lineage with the understanding gained from contemporary wisdom and scientific study. Our graduates are considered Kripalu ambassadors who can skillfully make Kripalu Yoga accessible in serving diverse students, communities, and settings.

I went to Kripalu to celebrate life on my 30-year anniversary of being cancer free.
After I was diagnosed with PTSD, I found myself on the mat. I will never forget my first Kripalu Yoga class.
