Cheryl Strayed is the author of the number-one New York Times best-selling memoir Wild; the New York Times best-sellers Tiny Beautiful Things and Brave Enough; and the novel Torch. Her books have been translated into more than 40 languages. Wild was chosen by Oprah Winfrey as her first selection for Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 and was adapted into an Oscar-nominated film starring Reese Witherspoon. Tiny Beautiful Things was adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos and has been produced in theaters across the United States. Her essays have been published in The Best American Essays, the New York Times, the Washington Post Magazine, Vogue, Salon, the New York Times Book Review, and elsewhere. She cohosted the New York Times/WBUR podcast Dear Sugars, which originated with her popular Dear Sugar advice column. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
