Jim Hopper
Jim Hopper, PhD, an independent consultant and teaching associate at Harvard Medical School, has intensively studied the psychological and biological aspects of trauma and addiction and their treatment. A 25-year practitioner in the vipassana and Tibetan traditions, Jim incorporates meditation and mind-training practices into his life and clinical work. He is coeditor of Mindfulness-Oriented Interventions for Trauma: Integrating Contemplative Practices. Along with writing, publishing, and consulting widely, Jim gives workshops for mental-health professionals and maintains a website that includes resources on contemplative practices and the brain.
