Partap Chauhan
Partap Chauhan, BAMS, is a pioneer of Ayurvedic telemedicine. He started the world’s first Ayurvedic website, jiva.com, in 1995, and was the first to give online consultations to people throughout the world. Partap is the only Ayurvedic doctor to have won the prestigious World Summit Award given by the United Nations Organization, Geneva, for his Teledoc project designed to help rural populations using technology. For his social entrepreneurial skills, he has been selected a lifetime Ashoka Fellow by the Ashoka Foundation, USA. He is the founder of Jiva Ayurveda, which runs a network of 60 clinics in India and offers online, telephonic, and personal consultations to patients worldwide. Partap has written several books on Ayurveda, including Eternal Health: The Essence of Ayurveda, and established Jiva Ayurveda schools in Japan, France, Poland, and Lithuania.
