Spring Awakening Retreat The Dharma of the Season
- Presenter: Lama Rod Owens
BE IN THE PRESENCE OF TRUTH
Winter represents a period of deep introspection and learning which can provide us with great challenges. Some of us struggle to integrate the lessons we learn from the unpredictability of life—events like the pandemic, economic instability, political conflicts, climate crises, and various forms of systematic violence. What often builds up is a combination of both individual and collective overwhelm.
Join international influencer, activist, and Black Buddhist Southern Queen, Lama Rod, for an awakening from the darkness and an invitation to move through the brokenheartedness of a long winter into the vitality and energy of spring. Through meditation, movement, ancestor and earth-based rituals, dialogue, laughter, and joy, you will:
- Be in the presence of truth and all that it reveals.
- Access an aliveness and spaciousness within.
- Move toward freedom as you maintain an embodied connection with your truth.
The art of a genuinely embodied practice holds the intention of relaxing into, and being more spacious with, the immediacy of our unpredictable lives in a way that invites us toward intimacy. This is both the challenge and the blessing of our practice.
