EMBRACE THE SPRING

Spring arrives to melt the snow, soften the earth, and invite in a sense of renewal. Spring is also an ideal time to refresh your yoga, meditation, and pranayama practice just like you might your food.

Join Kripalu lead faculty and the director of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda, Erin Casperson and Kripalu faculty, Susan Wrbaand embrace the spring season by discovering how Ayurveda can inform your yoga practice. Discover how spring is present in the body, mind, and senses while you experience invigorating, cleansing, and dynamic practices that invite lightness after the dark heavy winter, increase circulation to counteract the sedentary nature of the colder months, and stoke the inner fire to stoke digestion.

In this immersive week-long retreat, you will:

  • Open to curiosity as you tune into the shifts of the season.
  • Adopt self-care routines to enhance your yoga practice.
  • Learn about the Ayurveda theory behind the benefits of seasonal yoga practice.
  • Practice accessible asana, meditation, and pranayama practices aligned with spring.
  • Spend time on the Kripalu land in reciprocity as you commune with the five elements.
  • Engage in integration practices through journaling, reflection, and connection.

Return home with a renewed sense of rhythm, inspiration, and tools to make empowered choices to maintain your internal sense of equilibrium throughout the year.

NOTE Please bring clothing appropriate for self-massage with oil—such as a tank top, shorts, shirt, or pants that can be rolled up—and outdoor clothing and shoes. Time is spent outside in this program and the temperature varies in the Berkshires.
