Immerse yourself in one of the most established yoga therapy training courses available, focusing on the use of yoga as a true healing art. Yoga therapy can be applied in a wide variety of mainstream settings, including hospitals and health-care offices. In this training, you will learn the philosophical underpinnings of the evolution of yoga therapy in India and in the West, as well as a survey of the various tools used in yoga therapy such as asana, pranayama, mudra, yoga nidra, guided relaxation, and imagery.
Upon completion of this training, you will be able to:
- Design and lead a six-week yoga therapy group series, online or in person, in your community.
- Apply yoga tools for a variety of therapeutic needs.
- Evaluate and assess imbalances through the lens of the kosha model.
- Communicate consciously and effectively with clients, instructors, and colleagues.
- Create brave spaces and select practices to support trauma awareness and sensitivity.
- Engage in the growing profession of yoga therapy.
