Chance York

Chance York is an educator, a father, an Academy Award-winning entertainer, a Yoga instructor, and co-founder of the nonprofit, Peace In Practice. For over 20 years, he has studied the ancient art science of Yoga and personal development. His studies have informed his long career as a musician and led him to become the host of the series “Outside Chance,” on Twin Cities PBS. The series emphasizes a growth mindset and explores activities and communities outdoors.

His work as a Yoga instructor led him to co-found Peace In Practice to help more people find a place in Yoga and mindfulness practice. A student of Brown University, Chance is a qualified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) instructor, and teaches at the University of Minnesota’s Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing.
