Jana Long
Presenter
Jana Long, ERYT, CIAYT, is executive director and cofounder of the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance (BYTA), a nonprofit membership organization established to provide representation, continuing education, and professional development for Black yoga teachers. She also owns and directs the Power of One Yoga Center—a community-oriented space empowering "baby boomers" to embrace self-care practices for improved health and wellness along the continuum of aging—in Baltimore, MD. Jana is an Ayurvedic lifestyle consultant, meditation facilitator, State of Maryland certified Master Gardener, and mentor to many. She has learned, studied, and facilitated yoga gatherings with teachers and scholars of diverse lineages and cultures in Africa, India, Central America, and the United States. Her yoga practice spans more than 50 years.
