Judith Hannan

Judith Hannan is the author of Motherhood Exaggerated, a memoir of discovery and transformation during her daughter’s cancer treatment and transition into survival. Judith’s essays have appeared in Woman’s Day, Opera News, the Huffington Post, and other publications. She teaches writing to homeless mothers and at-risk adolescents as well as to medical students, and is also a frequent speaker to medical professionals for whom she seeks to reveal the hidden parts of patient’s stories. She served as director of development of the 92nd Street Y and then for the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Judith speaks frequently on the subject of narrative medicine.
