Taz Ramos

Presenter

Taz Ramos is a seasoned survivalist, musician, and homesteader whose journey has been defined by a profound connection to the natural world.

Born and raised in a coastal village of northeast Brazil, Taz spent his formative years living off the land and fully off the grid. As a young man, Taz ventured into the realm of theater, driven by a passion for storytelling and acting. Taz's path took a transformative turn when he arrived in the United States seeking a more modern lifestyle. However, a pivotal survival course across the Utah desert led him back to his roots; there he realized the immense value of his ancestral skills and the wisdom that lay dormant within him. Taz chose to embrace nature once again, immersing himself in the beauty of hunting, fishing, foraging, and listening to the heartbeat of the earth.

Today, Taz shares his love for the outdoors and empowers individuals on the autism spectrum to explore the wonders of nature, instilling a deep sense of connection and belonging. A multifaceted artist, he embraces his cultural heritage through the melodies of Samba Trio, touching hearts with traditional and modern Brazilian music. For the last several years, Taz has lived in a treehouse nestled in the Becket uplands of Western Massachusetts. He was a contestant on History Channel's Alone (Season 10) and now lives harmoniously with nature, tends to his garden, and cherishes every moment of life's simplicity.
