Kripalu Recipe: Our Favorite Granola
Here’s one of our most-requested recipes! Enjoy it with dairy or non-dairy milk, yogurt, fresh fruit, or sprinkled on hot porridge.
Makes 8 cups.
2½ cups rolled oats
1¼ cups rye flakes
½ cup sesame seeds
½ cup chopped almonds
½ cup sunflower seeds
½ cup shredded coconut
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons maple syrup
¼ cup honey or rice syrup
3 tablespoons sunflower oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¾ teaspoon dried ginger
½ teaspoon ground cloves
¾ cup raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except raisins, and mix until well combined. Lay mixture flat on a dry baking tray.
Bake until golden-brown and crispy, 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool before taking off tray.
Using a metal spatula, scoop granola from tray and break into bite-size pieces. Add raisins.
Stored in an airtight container, this granola will keep for several weeks.
