Dan Getman

Dan Getman is the founder and vision-holder for New World Ritual & Dance. He has been an ecstatic dance DJ for decades, sharing deeply affective music to cultivate varied alternate states of consciousness and trance. Sometimes combining recorded and live music, Dan DJ's in service of the embodied sense of sacredness.  

Dan is also the founder and principal DJ for Dance Church of the Hudson Valley—a lightly structured dance form that uses the modality of dance and the states generated by heart-centered music to transform the individual sense of separation into a rich sense of belonging.

For the past five years, Dan has been Maira Martinez's apprentice, following her and supporting her work. He is currently completing the three-year Biodanza facilitator training at L'Ecole de Biodanza Montreal et Sud-Ouest du Quebec.
