Tibetan Yoga for Grief, Resilience, and Empowerment
- Presenter: James Bae
YOGA & MEDITATION FOR HEALING
Tibetan Buddhist yoga is comprised of movement, breath, mantra, and visualization practices that are employed skillfully to give rise to compassion and wisdom in the body.
Join Dr. James Bae for a winter rejuvenation retreat and learn yoga and meditation practices that benefit the body in processes of grieving, cultivating resilience, and personal empowerment.
Through Buddhist meditation practices, breathwork, and somatic practices from the Tibetan yoga tradition, you will address grief and deepen your embodiment as you explore:
- Theories of the subtle body that relate to the body and processing of emotions and trauma.
- How to "take grief onto the path” to access your deepest nature and compassionate heart.
- Ways to cultivate vitality and nourish the heart and mind following loss and bereavement.
- Group ritual ceremonies for healing a loss of vitality and disconnection from others.
The program will also include a discussion of topics of grief, resilience, and empowerment through the lens of Tibetan yoga, neuroscience, mind-body healing, and contemplative psychotherapy. Return home with an overview of how to integrate these practices into your daily life.
