Learn to teach Let Your Yoga Dance for people who need a safe, sacred, and brave space to move their bodies. Those with Parkinsons, multiple sclerosis, the elderly, people with arthritis or autoimmune issues, people suffering from depression, or those healing from cancer and/or undergoing chemotherapy can receive many benefits from special populations classes.
Through a unique combination of yoga, qigong, breath, embodied positive psychology, dance, and music, this training teaches you to:
- Serve people who need and want to move their bodies but are hindered due to illness, pain, or lack of mobility.
- Study, practice, and teach appropriate pranayama techniques for this population.
- Discover creative ways to dance in and around chairs and teach these techniques to your students.
- Heighten your sensitivity to the emotional and mental needs of special populations.
- Experience the power that music and movement have upon the brain.
- Practice-teach and mentor fellow participants in the dance of yoga.
- Learn to have compassion for yourself and others.
The training is a beautiful, compassionate retreat that brings inspiration and celebration to the heart and mind. The result is healing through joy.
Prerequisite: Let Your Yoga Dance Teacher Training, Module 1. You may enroll in this training if you have not completed Module 2 but you will need to complete Module 2 at a later date. When you have successfully completed the special populations training, you will be a certified Let Your Yoga Dance for Special Populations instructor.

"I highly recommend this training, even if you have no current intentions of working with special populations. From the moment the training began, I absolutely knew that I would incorporate aspects of it into my regular class, but didn't expect to do it so soon." –Past participant
