Yoga Retreat for Women of Color The Importance of Loving Oneself

REFUEL YOURSELF

Join Maya Breuer, Kiesha Battles, Candace Jennings, and Marla Teyolia for a program designed to renew the body, mind, and soul of the woman of color.

Do you have time for love? Often women of color find themselves busy working and taking care of immediate family, elder parents, and others and they forget about loving themselves. This retreat will teach us the importance of loving oneself. During this wonderful summer weekend, we will focus on how to take the love we freely give to others and rain it down on ourselves.

Excerpt from “Ego Tripping” by Nikki Giovanni

. . . I sailed west to reach east and had to round off

   the earth as I went

The hair from my head thinned and gold was laid

   across three continents

I am so perfect so divine so ethereal so surreal

I cannot be comprehended

   except by my permission

I mean . . . I . . . can fly

like a bird in the sky.

NOTE: This program is for those who identify as women only.
